Hi! I'm Maia, I am the designer and maker behind Luna in Bloom.  I am based in Plymouth, UK and live with my husband and my dog Mabel. 

I first got into jewellery about 5 years ago when my mother-in-law bought me a silver stacking rings day course in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter. I was absolutely obsessed straight away!

I was looking for a new career at the time and so I got myself onto a jewellery course and fell more and more in love with it every day.

From there, I managed to get myself a traineeship in diamond setting. This opened my eyes into the real behind the scenes of jewellery making process. 

Since then, I have been constantly working on developing  my skills, learning new ones and finding my style. 

I absolutely love wax carving and I really enjoy the freedom it gives you and all of the organic, weird and wonderful shapes you can come up with. It also means that no two pieces are ever the exact same, giving every single piece I make a individual and bespoke quality.
